The Office of Accessibility Resources and Services works in partnership with administrators, faculty and staff to provide reasonable accommodations and support services for students and employees with disabilities who have provided our office with medical documentation to receive services.

The OARS office goal is to enhance the educational experience for students and employees with disabilities at NJIT. OARS is committed to promoting accessibility, inclusivity  and awareness as a resource to all members of NJIT.

If you need an accommodation due to a disability please contact the Office of Accessibility Resources and Services at OARS@NJIT.EDU, or visit us in Kupfrian Hall 201 to discuss your specific needs. A Letter of Accommodation Eligibility from the office authorizing student accommodations is required.

Faculty and Staff - Spring 2024 Update

If you expect accommodation for a disability, OARS can provide a captioner. MTSS can support OARS captioners with tailored solutions for diverse teaching methods. One option is to use videoconferencing tools, like Zoom or Webex, to enhance the auditory experience for on or off-site captioners. Please contact us (mtss@njit.edu) in advance for a seamless interactive process based on the specific situation.
