Department Suite & Office Upgrades

NJIT is taking the opportunity to reformat aging department suites and offices into versatile spaces catered to individual department needs for faculty, students, and staff to engage in collaboration and creativity.

Below are the two current locations under a major process of renovation in Guttenberg Information Technologies Center.

The Guttenberg Information Technologies Center (GITC) at NJIT is a 187,000 square foot facility containing laboratories, conference rooms, lecture halls, and instructional spaces dedicated to the enhancement of educational enrichment.

Campus Planning, Design, and Construction, in collaboration with the Data Science Department, is creating a new office suite on the second floor to provide upgraded offices, conference rooms, and collaboration spaces for the facility and staff. On the fifth floor, Telecommunications are receiving a similar upgrade catered to the needs of the department on the. These new suites began with the full demolition of the existing 2nd floor data sciences suite and 5th floor telecommunications suite which will provide an improved and updated functional office space for both departments. With new offices and breakout spaces with supporting spaces such as conference rooms and seminar spaces, both departments will be provided with considerable functional and aesthetic accommodations.
