Mission of the Office of the Senior Vice President for Finance and CFO
The Office of the Senior Vice President for Finance and Chief Financial Officer provides leadership, oversight, and stewardship for all aspects of NJIT’s financial resources while ensuring absolute institutional integrity on fiscal matters. Working collaboratively with senior academic and administrative leadership and the Foundation Board of Directors and Trustees, the Office provides strategic vision and advice designed to support the fiscal health and growth objectives of the university.
The Office leads all university financial operations and manages external financial relationships, including but not limited to banking and investments, governmental, compliance, and reporting. Through strong enterprise-wide cross-functional relationships with peers, department heads, and other university affiliated business and research entities, the Office delivers meaningful and innovative financial strategies to support the university’s strategic vision. With a customer service mindset and visionary fiscal agenda, the Office acts intentionally to align the university’s mission and to develop transformational financial solutions to increase NJIT’s enterprise value and economic impact on behalf of the constituents it serves. The Office is committed to both the ambitious agenda of a premier research institution while ensuring affordability for its students.
Under the leadership of the SVP/CFO, the Office’s specific areas of oversight and management include: Budget and Financial Planning; Financial Risk Management; Procurement, Accounting, Treasury Management; Accounts Payable; Payroll; the Bursar’s Office and Financial Systems and Innovation.
