Undergraduate Level: Freshman (first year) students

International freshman (first year) students are required to complete the virtual orientation, F1 International Student Essentials, in order to prepare for their first semester at NJIT.

F1 International Student Essentials (New International Student Orientation) will be held in an online format in the Canvas platform, 

Orientation will include:
  • An online orientation platform
    • Everything you will want to know about NJIT!
  • Optional webinars, panels, and Q&A sessions
    • Learn more information about the resources and departments on campus and have a chance to hear from students.
  • Orientation Leader led discussion boards and activities
    •  You will have many ways to communicate with your orientation leaders to ask any questions you may have.
    • Participate in online activities to connect with other incoming students.
Through participation in orientation you will:
  • Get acquainted with the important resources to be successful at NJIT​​.
  • Connect with orientation leaders who will help guide you and share their experiences as students.
  • Hear about how to get involved in student organizations, clubs, service opportunities, and much more.
  • Learn more about student life as a campus resident or commuter.
  • Meet and connect with other incoming students.
