Ying Wu College of Computing FlexPath Course Offerings
Students accepted into the FlexPath program can choose up to four courses for the Fall 2020 semester.
What courses will I take online in fall 2020 if admitted to YWCC?
- Students admitted to any of the Ying Wu College of Computing’s eight MS degree programs can begin full- or part-time study online during the Fall 2020 semester. Students successfully completing a prescribed set of four courses (12 graduate credits) will earn a graduate certificate with the credits earned applied toward their MS degree program of admission.
- This graduate certificate option for Flex-Path admission is very useful for students with a non-Computing background who may have been admitted with the requirement of completing a “bridge program”. Successful completion of the four prescribed courses waives the bridge program requirement, allowing students to earn a career enhancing graduate certificate and be well on their way to completion of the NJIT MS degree to which they have been admitted.
- Full-time students generally begin their MS degree studies with 12 credits from the courses listed below. Part-time students select from these same offerings. Most YWCC MS degree programs have some flexibility to begin MS degree study with an alternative set of courses in a specialized topic area by following a prescribed set of courses for a different graduate certificate. Those credits are fully applicable toward the MS degree of admission. For additional information on these alternatives visit the YWCC Graduate Certificates and Flex-Path page and discuss such with an academic advisor prior to registration.
