New Jersey Institute of Technology is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE), being granted initial accreditation in 1934, and is authorized to operate under the NJIT Act of 1995.
Accreditation
New Jersey Institute of Technology successfully completed the 2022 self-study and was re-accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) through 2030. The MSCHE Visiting Team commended NJIT's actions in support of the Commission's Standards for Accreditation and Requirements of Affiliation and provided only one recommendation regarding assessment of the university's General Education Requirements (GER). NJIT's next self-study evaluation will be conducted in the 2029-2030 academic year.
