Summer Early College Preparatory Programs
The Center for Pre-College Programs offers a series of summer programs for high-achieving students from post-4th to post-10th grades.

The programs are designed to encourage and prepare students to succeed in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). All programs include language arts, mathematics, computer science, two field trips, recreation periods, and lunch. View an example program schedule here!
Program Dates
Monday, July 7th, 2025 - Thursday, August 7th, 2025, 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Monday – Thursday)
Application Deadline: April 13th, 2025*
Program Costs:
- Application Fee: TBD (nonrefundable)
- Tuition: TBD (includes academic materials and Lunch)
Requirements:
- Maintain a B or better grade average.
- If your child's grade average is below a B, a teacher recommendation letter will be required.
- Provide a personal statement.

2025 Early College Preparatory Programs
Female Cohort (FEMME)- The program’s goal is to encourage girls to choose careers in scientific and technological fields in which women are traditionally underrepresented. FEMME programs include the same curriculum, trips, speakers, etc. as our co-educational cohorts, but include a sense of unity between young girls in STEM.
- Environmental Science & Engineering (FEMME4) – Completing 4th Grade
- Aeronautical Engineering (FEMME5) – Completing 5th Grade
- Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (FEMME6) – Completing 6th Grade
- Electrical and Computer Engineering (FEMME7) - Completing 7th Grade
- Biomedical Engineering (FEMME8) – Completing 8th Grade
- Chemical and Materials Engineering (FEMME9) – Completing 9th Grade
Co-educational Cohorts
- Environmental Science & Engineering – Completing 4th Grade
- Aeronautical Engineering – Completing 5th Grade

Refund Policy:
Application fees are nonrefundable.
Tuition is refundable up until 1 month prior to the start of the program. After this date, tuition is nonrefundable. A written request for the refund must be received by 11:59pm on Friday, June 7th
2025 STEMx High School Program
The STEMx High School Program is designed to provide current 10th and 11th-grade students with opportunities to immerse themselves in a targeted STEM discipline for one week at a time. Each session will be taught in partnership with, if not exclusively by, NJIT faculty who are subject matter experts in their respective fields. Students can participate in one or more weeks and can choose one of two topics each week. The programs will have mathematics, language arts, data literacy, and computer science infused into the curriculum. View the full program descriptions for each week here!

- Week 1: Monday, July 7th, 2025 - Friday, July 11th, 2025, 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Choose Materials Engineering OR STEM Entrepreneurship
- Week 2: Monday, July 14th, 2025 - Friday, July 18th, 2025, 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m (Choose Cybersecurity OR Sustainable Engineering and the Environment)
- Week 3: Monday, July 21st, 2025 - Friday, July 25th, 2025, 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m (Choose Assistive Robotics and Neuroscience OR Applied Engineering Technology)
- Week 4: Monday, July 28th, 2025 - Thursday, July 31st, 2025, 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m (Preparing for College and Career Pathways in STEM - optional for all students who participate in at least one of the programs in weeks 1, 2 and/or 3)
Program Cost:
- TBD non-refundable application fee
- TBD per week (includes lunch and academic materials)
