Do you have questions about FEMA Hazard Mitigation funding? Do you need assistance with applying for a FEMA grant?
NJIT and the New Jersey Office of Emergency Management (NJOEM) created the NJIT Technical Assistance for Resiliency Program (TARP) to provide free technical assistance to New Jersey counties and municipalities developing FEMA Hazard Mitigation Assistance grant applications.
At Fasten FEMA Funding with TARP, you'll hear a brief overview of FEMA's Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) Program and Flood Mitigation Assistance Grant Program (FMA). Afterwards, Sean Vroom and Carrie Martin from the NJIT Center for Community Systems will be on hand to provide you with free technical assistance. Come prepared with any questions you have, which can include:
How do I know if I have an eligible project for BRIC or FMA funding?
How do I prepare for project scoping?
What other New Jersey projects have received funding in the past?
What data is available to help with my grant application?
Registration limited to 25 attendees. Lunch will be provided.
