Students testing with OARS MUST adhere to the following rules. If OARS staff suspects academic dishonesty, the test will be terminated immediately and the student may be subject to disciplinary action by the faculty member and/or the Dean of Students.
Bring your student ID card for authentication purposes.
Cell phones must be turned off or placed in airplane mode, NO (calling, ringing, buzzing, vibration, etc.)
All personal belongings, including electronic devices, must be placed in the designated area prior to commencement of testing. This may include watches and other wearable electronics e.g. headsets, earbuds, eyeglasses etc.
Only approved materials by the instructor will be allowed in the testing room.
If you must use the bathroom or take a break in between exams or test. You will/should not have access to any electronics.
No talking is permitted in the test room, except when directed toward a proctor.
Any writing found on a student’s body while testing warrants the immediate termination of their exam. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Arrive on time and be ready to take exams. If the test starts late, you must complete the exam in the time allotted. No additional time will be allowed.
To ensure test and space availability, all tests must be scheduled.
Cheating is prohibited; any student caught cheating will forfeit their exam and be subject to the terms of the NJIT Code of Conduct
