PILLARS
Pillar 1
Preparing Students for Career Success. In collaboration with our many campus partners, we offer comprehensive career education and professional development opportunities designed to increase our students’ awareness, decision-making, self-efficacy, and career readiness.
Pillar 2
Employer Connections and Engagement. Expand and diversify our employer relationships to ensure that all of our students have career development and employment opportunities in fields related to academic and career interests. Engagement takes various forms of experiential learning including internship, co-op, and leadership development programs and alumni mentorship Initiatives.
Pillar 3
Experiential Learning. Career Development Services emphasizes experiential learning as an essential component of each student’s career exploration, preparation, and professional development. Conducted through internship, co-op, major-related summer or part-time employment, service learning, or other programs, experiential learning provides students with meaningful knowledge and critical skills development opportunities outside the classroom that lead to successful career outcomes upon graduation.
Pillar 4
Community Investment. Expand our relationships with our surrounding public sector organizations for the purpose of increasing student engagement in service projects, which serve community needs, student professional development goals, and university mission statement objectives.
