The Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing is responsible for management of NJIT communication channels such as NJIT.edu, NJIT social networks (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, YouTube, LinkedIn, Tik Tok, etc.), institutional publications, oversight of institutional marketing efforts, brand management, conduct of emergency communications, development of executive communications, provision of communication services, management of special events, delivery of conference and meeting services, as well as revenue generation through event-space rentals to external clients.
The Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing is overseen by the Chief Communications and Marketing Officer, who also serves as a member of the university's senior leadership team. The Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing seeks to accomplish the following objectives:
Facilitate effective communication with key audiences and constituencies
Promote the successes of NJIT students, faculty, staff and alumni
Support student recruitment efforts
Support institutional advancement efforts
Protect and strengthen NJIT’s institutional reputation
Assure consistency with NJIT brand standards
Market revenue-generating programs to external clients
Provide communication, meeting and event services to internal and external clients
