Thank you for registering for this year’s Homecoming festivities on Saturday, October 19th! We have an exciting day of events planned, and we can’t wait to share it with you. Below are some important details about the day:
Parking: We encourage guests to park in the Summit Street Garage Parking Deck | 154 Summit Street, Newark, NJ 07102. You will then follow signage to the Campus Center, where check-in will take place outdoors. If you require handicapped parking, please inform our office by October 18th so we can accommodate your request in a different parking lot.
Check-In: BBQ: Check-in will take place outside the Campus Center between 9:30 AM and 2:00 PM. Each guest will receive a wristband that grants access to the BBQ (cost of $15 for non-NJIT students).
Beer Garden: Check-in will be located in front of the tent on the Upper Green, where you will receive your wristband. Participants must be 21 or older to receive a wristband.
Alumni Events: Check-in for ALL alumni events will take place at their respective locations, so please proceed directly to your event for check-in. Event locations can be found on the schedule.
Support Highlander HOUSE: All Homecoming guests are invited to participate in our service project to benefit NJIT’s Highlander HOUSE (Helping Others Use Supportive Essentials). In September 2024, the Food Pantry expanded and welcomed a new space to campus called the Career Closet. Together, these spaces are now known as Highlander HOUSE and directly support students in need.
We will offer the opportunity tomake a monetary contribution, near the Homecoming check-in area. Alternatively, we will also accept any non-perishable, non-expired food items, or lightly used jackets.
Makerspace Tours: All tours are currently fully booked. If you have registered for a tour and want to cancel, please let us know so we can offer your spot to those on the waitlist.
Attire: Get ready to show your Highlander pride at Homecoming! Think casual yet spirited—rock your favorite NJIT gear or sport NJIT colors to celebrate in style.
