These guidelines provide an overview of the Campbell Hall design competition.
Overview
Murals that reflect “NJIT CARES" will be installed on the exterior wall of the Campbell Hall corridor and the interior wall of Campbell Hall adjacent to the Center for Counseling & Psychological Services. The designs are intended to create a more welcoming space with increased foot traffic and attention to the student services housed within.
Judging
A committee composed of current NJIT faculty, staff, and students will decide the winning designs. Departments represented include the Albert Dorman Honors College, Center for Counseling & Psychological Services, Hillier College of Architecture & Design, Office of the Dean of Students, and Real Estate Development & Capital Operations.
Prizes
First Place (Interior Wall): Selected design will be installed on the interior wall of Campbell Hall with an accompanying name plaque.
First Place (Exterior Wall): Selected design will be installed on the exterior wall of Campbell Hall corridor with an accompanying name plaque.
Second Place: $100 Gift Card
Third Place: $50 Gift Card
Winners will be invited to participate in an anticipated ribbon-cutting ceremony (Fall 2023) and a university-wide bulletin.
General Guidelines
Designs must be original and created for this selection process.
Individuals or Design Teams will retain copyright of mural; however, the physical mural becomes the property of the New Jersey Institute of Technology and the image may be reproduced and used for publicity purposes by NJIT.
Individuals and/or design teams must be comprised of currently enrolled students at NJIT.
Students from all majors across the university are encouraged to apply.
For digitally generated images, please use CMYK colors and a minimum of 90 ppi resolution.
How to Submit
Click here to upload your mural submission(s) by May 8, 2023 (extended deadline). Please submit a singe file containing all artwork for a given submission type with proper instructions on orientation and presentation as necessary. Ensure that proper sizing and resolution have been followed.
