The Fraternity and Sorority Community was started at NJIT on January 1, 1921 by a local organization known as Phi Delta Zeta that eventually merged with another chapter and became Alpha Sigma Phi as we know it today. Since our humble beginning in 1921, we have expanded the community to help create opportunities for a sense of belonging for all students at NJIT. We currently house 30 social and professional fraternities and sororities within our community. These organizations represent different cultures and areas of expertise and we hope to continue to grow our chapters and our presence at NJIT for another 100 years.
