New Student Orientation 1.0 & 2.0 is mandatory for all incoming first-year students.

You will not receive your course schedule during New Student Orientation (NSO), however, you will receive information on when and how you will receive your schedule -- so make sure to pay attention!

Your hold remains on your account until it is time to register for classes the following semester. This prevents students from changing their schedule on their own. The Freshman hold will be replaced by an Advisor Hold. 

Schedules will only be changed if you have AP or transfer credit that will advance you to a higher course, if you have permission to change your major, or if there are special circumstances. Please email orientation@njit.edu to discuss changes.
