New Student Orientation (NSO) is made up of a variety of orientation components for incoming first-year students, which are designed to give you the best transition possible to college life at NJIT!

Welcome to NJIT!​

Please note, to register for your in-person orientation sessions:
  • You will use the email you applied to NJIT with (gmail, hotmail, HS email, etc.), NOT your NJIT credentials
  • Check your personal email for communication from admissions@njit.edu with a pin to log into your status portal

You will need to attend one NSO 1.0 date and the NSO 2.0 day (August 29th, 2025)

NSO Session

This New Student Orientation will include a welcome to NJIT, a curriculum overview with your academic advisor, and a student panel, along with other events and sessions.

Please note all students will attend one NSO 1.0 date and the NSO 2.0 event, both of which are mandatory components of your transition to NJIT!

  • Learn more about student life as a campus resident or commuter
