The Upward Bound program provides fundamental support and opportunities for participants to succeed in pre-college courses and ultimately succeed in higher-educational pursuits. Upward Bound serves high school students from low-income families, first-generation aspiring college students, and first-generation military veterans preparing to enter postsecondary education.

The academic program takes place from September to May. Students take classes in English, math (pre-calculus, calculus, geometry, and algebra), physics, chemistry, and computers and receive counseling.
