Application Process

The Office of Global Initiatives (OGI) is your one-stop shop for all study abroad questions. Students who wish to study abroad must follow these steps to ensure they are selecting a program that fits their needs.

NJIT STUDY ABROAD APPLICATION DEADLINES

For Spring Semester Study Abroad

  • August 1 (ISEP)
    • ISEP Deadline is September 15
  • August 1 (Global E3)
    • GE3 Deadline: September 15
  • Sept 20 (Exchange Programs)
    • Exchange Program deadlines vary, check the program's website details for deadlines.

For Fall Semester or Full Academic Year Study Abroad

  • Feb 20
    • Global E3 and ISEP Deadlines are March 1
  • April 15
    • Exchange Partner Programs
      • Exchange Program deadlines vary, check the program's website details for deadlines.

For Provider Programs

  • Six weeks prior to your program's deadline (all programs)

For Summer Programs

  • Six weeks prior to your program's deadline (all programs)

Next Steps:

A study abroad adviser will review your application and inform you of your next steps. If you are approved to study abroad, you can apply for the program of your choice.

Please note that all students are required to submit a separate, program-specific application based on the program of choice. NJIT’s Study Abroad Application gives you clearance to apply to a program.
