Policies and Annual Report
NJIT expects and requires the behavior of its students, faculty, staff, officials, vendors, visitors and anyone else with a direct link to NJIT to comply with its high standards of scholarship and conduct. NJIT is committed to protecting the university community, the rights of its members, and to cultivating and sustaining a positive living and learning environment free from discrimination and harassment for all students and employees. Thus, NJIT does not discriminate on the basis of sex or gender in its educational programs and activities and does not tolerate discrimination or harassment on the basis of sex or gender. The requirement not to discriminate on the basis of sex extends to admissions and employment at NJIT.

In the 2023-2024 academic year, there were 43 reports of prohibited behavior under NJIT's Title IX & Sexual Harassment Policy and Code of Student Conduct as it relates to Sexual Misconduct. Below is a breakdown of the types of reports:
Sexual Harassment - 15
Dating Violence - 5
Sexual Assault - 10
Stalking - 7
Sexual Exploitation - 6
