Biological Safety

Biological Safety or Biosafety focuses on the safe handling and containment of infectious microorganisms and biohazardous materials to prevent accidental or occupational exposures, and environmental contamination or release.  NJIT Biological Safety Program uses a preventative approach to biosafety to protect the public, employees, students, and visitors from exposure to biological agents and materials.
