As NJIT employees, we are bound by the State ethics regulations which require us to act in a manner giving the public the highest degree of confidence in our integrity and credibility. For guidance, please follow the Uniform Ethics Code and NJIT's Supplemental Code of Ethics when acting on behalf of the University.
Faculty
NJIT faculty are required to:
File an Outside Activity Questionnaire at the start of their NJIT employment and update the OAQ at least every three years or each time they have new outside activities to disclose;
Complete a pre-approval report in Chrome River before attending off-campus and virtual events in their official capacity. If employees are to receive benefits from the off-campus or virtual event, they must obtain pre-approval. Benefits may include waived registration costs, food or merchandise mailed to the employee or continuing education credits.
Faculty are permitted to assign to their classes textbooks or materials they authored, as long as the royalties are donated and records of the donation are maintained and submitted with your Annual College and University Disclosure Form.
