Kappa Phi Gamma Sorority, Inc.
Founded by 27 visionary women, Kappa Phi Gamma Sorority, Inc. was established on November 8th, 1998, at The University of Texas at Austin, as the Nation’s first ever South Asian Interest-Based Sorority. Although Kappa Phi Gamma was founded as a South Asian sorority, she has expanded the warmth of her Sisterhood to any and all motivated young women willing to make a difference in her community and to uphold the principles that the sisterhood is based upon. The Founders envisioned a sorority built around 8 principles: Character, Leadership, Scholarship, Sisterhood, Service, Culture, Womanhood, and Self. Realizing the quality of the Sisterhood could never be compromised, the Founders’ every endeavor thereafter was directed toward fostering these 8 principles and establishing a solid foundation for the future before embarking on plans for expansion. On May 18, 2016 five women chartered Sigma Charter at New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, New Jersey. Their mission is to spread the Sisterhoods' ideal principles for other women to embrace while continuing the vision of the National Founders.

Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc.
On December 1, 1975, history was made –Lambda Theta Phi was founded on the campus of Kean College in Union, New Jersey. In 1975, there were no Latino fraternities in existence in the United States. The Greek-letter organizations of the time primarily catered to Anglo and African-American students and graduates. Lambda’s founders, as men of vision, realized there was a need to unite the Latino students, develop their leadership skills, impart upon them the value of an education, and instill in them a commitment to their community and culture. The traditional student club would not suffice to accomplish such lofty goals. Hence, Latino unity and brotherhood would be achieved through a long recognized institution – the fraternity. This newest addition to the Greek system would be the first in the nation, by identity and by name: Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Incorporated.

Among our ideas of sisterhood are the concepts of love, honesty, loyalty, mutual respect, and responsibility for one another. After unity, the main objectives of this organization are academic excellence and involvement in community affairs. Education plays a vital role throughout the course of one’s lifetime; therefore, through the aid of donations, scholarships, and the shared efforts of our sisters, we can propel one another towards various career goals and aspirations. We aim to promote positivity and an improved outlook on life, as well as foster opportunities to improve one's standard of living.
