Best Practices in Digital Learning: Professional Development Course for Faculty
The Institute for Teaching Excellence and the Office of Digital Learning are offering NJIT faculty and University Lecturers an opportunity to complete an online "Best Practices in Digital Learning" professional development course. This course runs multiple times a year and is offered to all faculty and instructional staff.
What is it?
The Best Practices in Digital Learning course is meant to help faculty learn the basic concepts of creating a unit of instruction for online learners. While this is focused on creating content for online courses, it can certainly be adapted for face-to-face courses as well.
Who is this meant for?
This course is recommended for faculty members who have never taught online or would like to learn more about the basics of online teaching. However, it is open to any faculty member who is interested.
Is there work involved?
Yes! Each person who signs up for the course will be tasked with creating a unit of instruction in Moodle. In addition, there are several learning objects and information that must be read and completed.
Do I get anything for completion?
Faculty who complete the work will be given a certificate of completion.
