Spring 2025 Closing - Summer 2025 Opening

Express Check-out

• Pick up an Express Check-out envelope from your residence hall office or RA.  Fill out all fields and return the completed envelope to your building office or front desk.
• Your room will be inspected by staff upon your departure.  
• You are responsible for arranging your room furniture to its original set-up; clean your shared living space; turn in any room and/or mail key(s) to the office.
• Residence Life will inspect the space after the building closes and a final damage assessment will be completed.
• Students using Express Check-out accept full responsibility for the condition of their room and suite upon departure.  After final inspection, damages/cleaning will be assessed and the information emailed to the student by June 1st.  Damage appeal forms must be completed and submitted no later than June 7th to be considered.

In Person Check-out

• You will sign-up for a check-out time via the sign-up sheet by your RAs door.  You must be moved out fully before your appointment time.
• Your RA will examine the condition of your room against your original Room Condition Report and assess any damage.  It is suggested that all residents of the room be present at check-out to discuss any concerns regarding room cleaning/damages.
• You are responsible for arranging your room furniture to its original set-up; clean your shared living space; turn in any room and/or mail key(s) to the RA.
• Residence Life will inspect the space after the building closes and a final damage assessment will be completed.
• After final inspection, damages/cleaning will be assessed and the information emailed to the student by June1st.  Damage appeal forms must be completed and submitted no later than June 7th to be considered.

Students who fail to check-out either in-person or via the express option will be charged $25.00
