IMMUNIZATIONS/VACCINATIONS
All documents must be submitted to NJIT Health Services portal by January 5th to allow for document processing. Students may submit their vaccination information via the Health Services Portal. Visit Student Health Service for more information. You will not be able to move in unless all of your documentation is uploaded and approved by Student Health Services.

CHECKING IN - NEW RESIDENTS ONLY
*Returning residents will need to check in at your building office when you arrive back from winter break.
Upon arrival to campus, please go to the building that you have been assigned in order to check-in.
Spring 2024 Move-In Dates & Check-in Times: Sunday, January 14, 2024 – Monday, January 15, 2024 - 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. & 8:00 p.m. -10:00 p.m.
Residents must have a valid ID card to check into any building and must present it to the residence life staff. You will log into MyHousing to confirm your room inventory form. This inventory form is a checklist regarding the condition of the room upon check-in and an accounting of the room furnishings. If you find any discrepancies with the room inventory, you must document and return it to your RA within 48 hours of your check-in.
ID CARDS
For first-year students, transfer students and graduate students, your first NJIT Photo ID Card is free and can now be obtained remotely. Submit your photo via highlander hub and your card will be mailed to your on-file permanent mailing address. Please perform the following simple steps:
- Go to: Highlander Hub
- Log in using your UCID username & password (same as you use for highlander pipeline)
- Follow the steps to submit your information and photo
ALL RESIDENTS
LATE ARRIVALS
If you have not checked into your room within 48 hours your scheduled check-in date, you will forfeit your room assignment and be charged the cancelation fee as indicated in the terms and conditions of the housing application and contract. If you plan to arrive late, please contact our office so we can make a note.
MOVING BINS
Moving bins will be available. Please note that we do not have enough bins to accommodate every student moving in. We suggest that you bring carts and dollies from home to assist you.
PARKING
Students moving into Cypress Hall may park on Bleeker Street, just adjacent to the hall. Please use 180 Bleeker Street, Newark, NJ 07103 for driving directions. Students moving into Laurel and Oak Halls may park in the Parking Deck just adjacent to Laurel Hall (141 Summit Street, Newark, NJ 07103). Students moving into the Greek Village or Honors Hall and park along Greek Way (Greek Way, Newark, NJ 07103). Students moving into Maple Hall may use the Maple Hall parking deck or park along Wickliff Street.
MEAL PLANS
Student meal plans will be activated for use on Monday, January 15, 2024. Students are allowed to change their meal plan one time until January 26, 2024. View meal plan hours here.
HALL & FLOOR MEETINGS
The date & time of your meeting will be sent to you via your RA.
CLASSES
Classes begin on Tuesday, January 16th
